As part of our partnership with Saskatchewan Government Insurance (SGI), we have reached an important milestone with the rollout of our ProgiSync solution, which is transforming how collision repair appointments are managed. This partnership, which began a few years ago, has allowed SGI to provide customers with direct and simplified access to book appointments with repair shops. Today, ProgiSync is fully integrated into SGI’s claims workflows, and its provincial-wide deployment in 2024 and 2025 marks a significant advancement in improving the customer experience and collaboration with repair partners.
The History of a Growing Partnership
The partnership between SGI and Progi began in 2018 with the implementation of ProgiSync in Alberta and Ontario. The goal was to offer customers direct access to book appointments with repair shops, thus simplifying the entire claims process. Building on the success of this initial phase, SGI and Progi continued to refine and expand the solution.
In April 2024, SGI launched a customized ProgiSync schedule for its claim appraisers in Saskatchewan, enabling smoother management of estimate appointments. Then, in April 2025, the solution was extended to the entire provincial body shop network, providing a centralized and simplified approach to managing repairs for all SGI customers.
A Testimonial of Satisfaction
For SGI Saskatchewan, the integration of ProgiSync has been a true success. Ciaran Downes, Senior Director – National Appraisal Services at Saskatchewan Government Insurance, shares his positive experience with the solution:
“As an SGI employee, I’ve seen firsthand how ProgiSync is making a difference in how we serve customers and work with our repair partners. We’ve been using ProgiSync as part of our operations in Alberta and Ontario since 2018, giving customers direct access to book appointments with collision repair shops. More recently, we launched a customized ProgiSync schedule for our staff appraisers in Saskatchewan in April 2024, and by April 2025, we extended it to our entire provincial body shop network. It’s now fully integrated into our claims workflows and technology, which means customers get real-time access to information that helps them choose a repair shop confidently—and they can schedule an estimate appointment right at first notice of loss.”
“What I appreciate most is how agile and responsive the Progi team has been. They’re a great partner, and we’re looking forward to keep building on this foundation as we enhance the online customer experience and find smarter, more collaborative ways to work with repair partners across the country.”
A Promising Future for the Customer Experience
Thanks to the successful integration of ProgiSync, SGI Saskatchewan and its repair partners are now able to offer a smoother, faster, and more transparent customer experience. The ProgiSync solution does more than just facilitate appointment booking for customers; it also makes the entire claims process more efficient and better integrated with SGI’s systems.
As the implementation continues and the entire body shop network in Saskatchewan benefits from the advantages of ProgiSync, SGI and Progi will keep collaborating to further improve the customer and repairer experience across the country.
