PRESS RELEASE
For immediate release

Trois-Rivières, Quebec, Canada, March 30, 2020—only businesses providing essential services remain operational during the COVID-19 prevention campaign. These include insurance companies and their damage insurance suppliers such as collision shops. Progi, a Canada-based company, is supporting them by offering the opportunity to do photo estimates at no costs thanks to one of their program’s new feature. This way auto estimate files can be moved along without jeopardizing the users and their clients’ health.

Diane Chaîné, Progi’s president, explains: “Progi felt it was important for our clients to keep working while complying with the current measures established for teleworking and reducing the need for their clients to travel. So, we gave them some tips for teleworking with our solutions. The bulk of our efforts was spent on distributing our ProgiPhoto program free of charge. This feature was on our drawing board, but we got the team together and were able to deliver a functional product to help our clients right from the start of the current crisis.

Some collision shops have opted to close for different reasons. But whether they are closed or open, they still have the option to advance the estimate file process with ProgiPhoto.

While the end of this confinement period remains unknown, this option will also help insurers who adopt the process to work with collision shops within their network or with their own appraisers.
